I received a child's chair for my 1st Birthday 68 years ago. My sister had it refinished for my daughter 1st Birthday 25 years ago and I had it redone for my granddaughter's 1st Birthday. Marie's Caning did a wonderful job recaning the chair and as an added bonus the completed it in record time for her birthday......it is beautiful!
Bob was nice enough to pick up the one chair of my parents, where the caning had broken. He did an absolutely gorgeous job! Not only was the caning expertly fixed and dyed, he also polished up the chair so that it looked nearly new. We were so happy, that we brought in the additional 3 chairs in the set. He was very kind to get the chairs done with a quick turn around time.
We received several pieces of antique furniture from my mother as she works to downsize. Beautiful items that mean a lot to our family and have passed from at least 3 generations. Bob has decades of experience and demonstrated talent. He was able to quickly grasp what we were looking for and the importance that a quality job meant to us. We received our first chair today. Beautifully done. Cannot wait to receive our 4 remaining chairs.
I had the backs of 6 antique dining room chairs caned here and am very pleased with how they turned out. They were finished 2 weeks earlier than I expected and they look beautiful!
A unique individual with an impressive amount of knowledge and experience. Very helpful with getting me set up to repair my own chairs, and I know where I'll be taking them when I realize I'm in over my head!
I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY MARIE'S CHAIR CANING AND FURNITURE REPAIR
We received several pieces of antique furniture from my mother as she works to downsize. Beautiful items that mean a lot to our family and have passed down through at least 3 generations. We received our first chair shortly after we dropped it off. This chair only required pressed caning and was beautifully done. We were happy with the results. Update to the review. The repairs were delayed due to circumstances related to the disassembly, rework, and reassembly of the chairs. Bob kept us informed of the status of repairs ans confirmed our expectations with selection of leather and trim to complete the work. When the humidity supported stain application the effort was completed and Bob assured us of the quality in the workmanship. He was not wrong. The chairs look great and will last for generations to come. Exactly what we were looking for. Will add photos if able.
I needed to have the caning entirely replaced on 6 antique dining room chairs . Marie's gave me the best price by far and did an incredible job!! The workmanship was beautiful . The caning was dyed and installed perfectly !!! I could not be happier . I would highly recommend them !!
Bob does really good work, so happy the service.
Bob was great !! I'm super happy with the repair on my antique chair . The weave and dye match the original weave perfectly ! Bob's price was the best in the area by far and he even polished and waxed the chair for a very nominal fee. I will bring more furniture to Marie's for repair !
Bob was very patient and very professional about his service in his time frame of letting me know that he does will take longer than other things but was honest and up front with everything he has told me he works very hard on everything to give the the up most professional quality of his work and time frames
My grandfather's handmade Lincoln rocker needed to have the caning replaced. This was made by his godfather around 1890. Bob replaced all of the caning in the seat and back. Its quite beautiful. It took about 6 months but was worth it. Supply chain issues were part of the time but a hand made caning takes quite a bit of time
